FAQ: What makes your lenses so popular with Nuclear Plant engineers?
A: Radiation resistant, radiation tolerant, radiation hard or non-browning lenses are all terms used to refer to a lens purpose designed for use in a radioactive environment. All optical elements within our radiation resistant lens designs are made using cerium oxide doped glass or synthetic silica enabling them to withstand cumulative radiation doses of up to 100,000,000 rad and temperatures up to 55°C without discoloration or degradation of performance. All our fixed focus and zoom lenses provide high image resolution and minimum geometric distortion from 400 to 750nm.
