Preparation for Brexit

Resolve Optics Ltd has been planning for BREXIT for the last 12 months. Our planning has covered our supply chain, personnel, customers and exports. We have tried to be as comprehensive with our planning as is possible with the little information and facts that are known.

Brexit and Resolve opticsFor Resolve our goal is to ensure our European customers that any disruption post BREXIT will not affect our deliveries or entail additional cost to our customers for any goods ordered pre-BREXIT.

In order to ensure deliveries are maintained, Resolve has increased its component stock holding. This will ensure that Resolve can build the required lenses ahead of schedule. We have also planned our production capacity requirements to ensure we have the personnel available to build the lenses at the appropriate times.

Should we find that imports and exports from and to Europe are significantly disrupted making on time deliveries difficult, we have put measures in place that will allow Resolve to legally hand carry lenses for delivery.

At this point it is almost impossible to know if there will be import export tariffs applied but our research indicates that if there is they will be insignificant. VAT will most likely be payable, but this can be reclaimed. Again, our aim is to avoid any additional costs to our customers.

BREXIT is challenging for both sides of the Channel and I would like to thank our European customers for their patience as we navigate our way through the inevitable changes.
